Anand Sundaresan Vice-chairman & Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India has retired from the position. V G Sakthikumar, currently the whole time director, will now take charge as the Managing Director. Dr Gunther Abolins, currently the non-executive vice chairman will now take charge as the chairman of the board of Schwing Stetter India.
Sakthikumar has been with Schwing Stetter India, from the very first day of its operations. He is primarily responsible for building marketing strategies and enhancing customer touch points for the brand. Within 10 years of assuming office, 29 branch offices were set up across the country to ensure that customers were given top-most priority. He was also instrumental in setting up the export market and overseas offices in South East Asia. He also introduced XCMG machinery in India.
Anand Sundaresan will now serve as a vice-chairman to Schwing Stetter India and will focus his energies towards the upcoming 55-acre Cheyyar Project. This facility is larger than the existing Schwing Stetter manufacturing facilities in Irungattukottai, Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram. He will also focus on identifying new products and projects that will aid in further increasing the growth of the company.
V G Sakthikumar said, “With the support of my colleagues and customers – my dream is to further push the growth of the company in India and make Schwing Stetter India & XCMG the most preferred brands for concreting and construction equipment.”
Anand Sundaresan served as vice-chairman and managing director of Schwing Stetter India since 1998.
