Social media major Twitter has announced a collaboration with SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) for the Auto Expo 2018, taking place from Feb 7 – 14. Twitter will be hosting a special #BlueRoom pop-up show onsite, live stream highlights from the Auto Expo, and make available a custom Auto Expo emoji for automotive fans to share what’s happening.
Twitter is launching an emoji for an automotive show with the Auto Expo 2018, the first time in Asia. The emoji is available until February 28. It will appear when users include hashtags such as #AETMS, #AETMS18, #AUTOEXPO18, #AUTOEXPO2018, #BTNR, #AECompShow18 in their Tweets.
Automotive fans can watch out for #BlueRoom guests who will include artistes rock band @Parikarma and guitarist Dhruv (@mrdhruvv).
Hero Moto Corp, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki will be live streaming their showcase at the Auto Expo on Twitter. Tata Motors (@TataMotors) will also feature live Q&A interaction with artistes rock band @Parikarma and guitarist Dhruv (@mrdhruvv), a live performance onsite and video highlights on Twitter. In addition, Kia (@KiaMotorsIn) will be launching their presence in India with a Direct Message (DM) automation feature on Twitter.

“This edition of the Auto Expo will feature a branded custom Twitter emoji, which has been created for the first time for any motor show in Asia and will be available to all users across the globe using the Auto Expo hashtag in their Tweets,” said Sugato Sen, Deputy Director General, SIAM.
