Phoenix Conveyor Belt in India wins award

Phoenix Conveyor Belt in India, a subsidiary of Continental, has won business excellence award in 2018 with the CII-EXIM Bank Business Excellence Award in the Gold Plus category.

The Corporation’s conveyor belt business has been present in India for almost 20 years now. The company initially started as a joint venture with Andrew Yule and is now entirely part of Phoenix Conveyor Belt Systems with manufacturing in Kalyani, District-Nadia in West Bengal, where it manufactures textile and steel cord reinforced conveyor belts as well as steel cords which are used as reinforcements inside conveyor belts. The company has offices across six major locations in India and a global R&D center to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of global conveyor belting solutions.

The CII-EXIM Bank Business Excellence Award has been jointly established by CII and Export Import Bank of India in 1994, with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of Indian companies.
