World University of Design starts course in Automotive Modelling

The World University of Design has announced a specialized Diploma programme in Professional Automotive Modelling. The two-stage advance diploma will be offered in close collaboration with Desmania Autostudio. The Course will include the essential techniques of hand modelling for pre-visualizing final products in clay and/or digital modelling of designs.

The Programme for graduates is designed to prepare the student for high demand positions at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the auto and product industries. The University offers two choices of tracks to study-Clay and Digital.

“We are delighted to partner with Desmania Autostudio. The highlight of the program is the collaboration with the industry for live projects/workshops as a part of the curriculum, which is designed to give a ‘headstart’ to its students in working with professional designers and also network with the industry from an early stage. WUD provides access to excellent facilities including dedicated design studios, traditional modelling workshops supported by a comprehensive range of advanced CAD/CAM and Rapid Prototyping machines,” said Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor Designate at World University of Design.

Anuj Prasad from Desmania Autostudio said: “We are known to create sustainable brand impact through Design Thinking. This course will give vision to graduates in finding leading positions in the automotive and transport industry and will give them the chance to develop the skills and understanding to work as a modeler in all fields of Automotive and Transport Design.”

The University offers 15 seats each to both Diploma in Clay Modeling and Digital 3D Modelling. Both the programmes will start from August 1, 2018.
